Tea for One

Know what I love about Teatime blog parties?   I actually take the time to have tea!

I could stage everything just for the sake of the “blog,” but I find I need to take every opportunity to sit down and enjoy the fruits of my labors!  Don’t you?

Ecclesiastes 5:18 Here is what I have seen to be good and fitting: to eat, to drink and enjoy oneself in all one’s labor in which he toils under the sun during the few years of his life which God has given him; for this is his reward.

It seems we all are at a hurried and rushed pace.  We need to take time to smell the roses.  They do smell so wonderful.  How would we know if we didn’t stop, and take the time?

Not only do I need to enjoy my labors, I need to enjoy and be thankful for the gifts I have been given.  Like this beautiful tea for one, given to me by a dear friend about 10 years ago.  We haven’t seen each other for about that long either, due to the circumstances of life.  That must change.  I hope she sees this and knows that I love her and miss her and one day we will share our “kindred” spirits once again.

Psalm 128:1 – 2 A song for pilgrims ascending to Jerusalem. How joyful are those who fear the LORD–all who follow his ways! You will enjoy the fruit of your labor. How joyful and prosperous you will be!

  1. I drink tea everyday, but I only get to sit and really enjoy it with a magazine or something just a couple of times a week. Usually right after work and before I make supper. Thanks for visiting!

  2. Lovely tea for one and you are right, I try to be taste testing a new tea just in time for the tea parties. I didn't make it this time. I stuck to my Stash pomegranate! Happy Tea Day!

  3. You have the perfect chair to take your tea! It looks like it truly belongs, I just adore it!

Yes, I take tea everyday and always truly enjoy teatime when I b log about it – that's why I am always so late for the parties!

Anyway, this is a lovely post with even lovelier sentiment.

You are SO right about our blessings, and taking the time to count them when sipping.

  4. It is nice to virtually feel you're sharing a lovely cup of tea with lovely ladies – I too take the time to enjoy my tea while reading posts – it has been an inspiraiton. I appreciate you sharing with A Return to Loveliness,
    Kathy

  5. I enjoy my tea too, sometimes I take the pictures before I have my tea as I forget, (something to do with age), love teacups and teapots and anything to do with tea. Also, always have a cup or pot of tea before I got to bed, every night. Love your chair too.

  6. Hi Jocelyne,
Your tea for one set is so pretty! I love my cup of tea and I always have some in the afternoon and in the evening. And you're right about the roses. I always make time to slow down and smell them. Thank you for joining me for tea and enjoy the rest of your week.

    Blessings,
    Sandi
