“Every leaf speaks bliss to me, fluttering from the autumn tree.” Emily Bronte
Most people I know go to Vail or Breckenridge Colorado for the snow and skiing. I go in the fall for the breathtaking views of the turning aspen trees.
My Sweet William and I took a long drive through our mountains last weekend.
We drove along Highway 24 through Leadville and Minturn on our way to Vail.
A little road construction detour lead us along an old highway lined with Aspen.
It was simply breathtaking.
Back on to the main road again you could see the patches of yellow in the hills.
Somewhere between Leadville and Minturn we just had to pull over and enjoy the scenery.
Please enjoy it too…. I’ll be quiet.
The reflection of the trees made the water look golden too.
I love fall, this place took my breath away. So much to behold…

I can't say that I've ever been on that road. Maybe next fall I'll have time for a trip! Too much going on this year for a get-away.♥♫
Really beautiful photos! Thanks for linking to Open House!
Your photos are beautiful, Jocelyne! It would be a wondrous sight. Although Spring is my favourite season, there is beauty to behold in each season. Hope you're having a lovely weekend.
Blessings,
Sandi
