Encouraging and Equipping Women through Biblical Discipleship

Keep Calm and …

“Keep Calm and Carry On”  remember this saying becoming ever so popular just a few years ago?  Funny that it was started more than 60 years ago as the last in a series of moral boosting posters that were to be “displayed across the British Isles during the testing times that lay ahead.” “The plan in place for this poster was to issue it only upon the invasion of Britain by Germany.  As this never happened, the poster was never officially seen by the public.” http://www.keepcalmandcarryon.com/history
Now it has grown to incorporate all kinds of sayings:   Keep Calm and Craft on,  Keep Calm and Crochet On, Keep Calm and Drink Tea, Keep Calm and Pray On, Keep Calm and … (you fill in the blank.)    Do you have a favorite?    Honestly I liked the one pictured above because it’s PINK!  And it is a reminder to me to just Keep Calm!

I have a tendency to get overly excited about stuff and my mind just darts off in every direction (or maybe that’s ADHD?) and I can’t wait for what’s coming around the corner!   My last post I mentioned about leaving my day job…  I can’t wait!  (Seriously love you guys but I got to go!)  It’s going to be more then a few months but less then a year and I’m going.  I’ve already got one foot out the door as they say!  I just have to remain calm and not run outta there before it’s time or I’ll mess everything up!

As I sit here and enjoy tea from this beautiful fall cup, I’m already planning my new routines and thinking about spending hours sewing.  I’m not not going to work, I’m just going to work from home, doing what I love.  Making more pillows and tea cozies and aprons (As it is I can’t get them into my booth fast enough – they sell almost immediately!)  I also want to spend some time treasure hunting.  SEE – My mind is already there!    So I just have to Keep Calm. Enjoy what’s around me, right now, and Carry On with the work that has been put before me until the times comes to Move On.   Hmmm,  Keep Calm and Move On.   There’s another one.

Hi I'm Jo!

Welcome to my blog!  I write about my own experiences in my walk with Jesus.     I am saved by the grace of God through his son Jesus and filled with the Holy Spirit.  I sit in the seat next to you at church. Praising, worshipping and learning right by your side.   If I am not in the service, I most likely can be found cooking up something in the church kitchen.  Come along with me and worship the Lord!  Let us exalt His name together!  If you’d like to receive notifications of new posts in your inbox, please leave your information below.
