New Blog Name & New Fabric Storage

White, Blue, Purple, Green & Yellow Fabric
I don’t know if it was a good time to do it, but I did it.  It’s done.  I changed the name of my blog.  I changed the URL.  I didn’t know I could do that until my daughter (youngest) pointed it out!  I was JocelynesTeaParties since 2009. (I can’t believe I’ve been attempting blogging for that long!)  I still love my tea and tea things but life took me down a different path.  I no longer want to operate a tea house, I just want to visit tea houses!  Instead I have found my passion in my boutique.  You probably already know I rent a space in a local antique mall and I love it.  (If you were following me through Jocelyne’s Tea Parties you will probably have to “re-follow” me under this new URL – sorry for the inconvenience, I thought blogger would just redirect.)

Black and Pink Fabrics

The reason I don’t know if it was good timing is because I laid out this plan to reorganize and blog about it.  I even got a few new followers and I’m afraid they won’t have the right link to my blog now.  I’ll have to figure something out (If it worked out please let me know!)   I am having a giveaway and the first 5 people who comment win!  No one has commented yet so you still have a chance!   I might be giving away some of the stuff from my reorganized craft room.  It is still a work in progress.  The first two pictures above show most of the fabric I am keeping.  I forgot to take a picture of one more drawer with Red fabrics and heavier pieces (like burlap and tapestry).

Bin of Lace Fabric, curtains and tablecloths

These are serious bins of Lace.  Am I a lace hoarder or what?  I have sorted through all of it and will be taking the lace curtains and tablecloths to my Chou Chou Boutique.  I have kept all of the lace trims (vintage and new) for projects that are coming up.  Do you like lace?  I am a sucker for lace.

Bin of Lace Trims

These bins are huge!  Just to give you an idea, the silver bin pictured here is an 18 gal. bin!  I kept thinking I didn’t have enough until I started this reorganization thing.  It’s amazing, and a little embarrassing.  My  DH just rolls his eyes now and says “is that more lace?”

Living Room Fireplace

Besides working on my craft room, I put away Christmas and brought out some “winter whites.”  These are pics of my living room and fireplace mantel.

Have you completely put away your Christmas decorations yet?   It’s such a job isn’t it?  I’ll be reorganzing and decluttering my Christmas/Holiday decorations later on this year so if you’re still with me then I’ll show that mess too!

I’m linked up with Timewashed’s Blissful White Wednesday .  Go on over and see all the other beautiful whites over there.

  1. Hi, Now that I'm here I should look and see if I'm a follower! Except I want my "old" little photo to go with it and I have NO idea where that would be. Changes aren't good when I have limited time to spend figuring them out. Glad to help when I can!♥♫

  2. Hi Jocelyne,I'm still following, I think blogger updated it automatically. I put all of my Christmas decorations away, but everything is still in disarray. I'm trying to figure out what to do next. Have fun in your boutique, it's great to be able to do something you love.

  3. Girl… you are a lace hoarder! Man, I thought I had a lot. WOW! I am needing to organize my studio— but them something shiny catches my eye and I'm off creating something lol
    big hugs,

  4. Oh, I am a lace horder too! I use it all the time, and buy it all the time! My craft room is on my to do list this year! Thanks for following my selling series. You mentioned that tea cups and saucers were not a good seller. We have just started having people buy them again, but they have to be priced right $9-10, we used to get a lot more for them!
